1. The Service
Discount Hunter ("the Service") is a price-tracking utility provided by Denys Garkusha ("Operator", "we") consisting of a Telegram bot, web application, and optional Chrome extension. It is offered to users ("you") free of charge in its current form. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; any such change will be announced in advance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm you meet this age threshold.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law (including the terms of the shops we scrape on your behalf — you are responsible for ensuring that watching prices on a specific shop is permitted in your jurisdiction).
- Run automated bots, scrapers, or load-generating tools against our APIs or web surfaces. Normal use of the bot, Mini App, Web App, and Chrome extension is fine. Programmatic abuse is not.
- Resell or redistribute alerts received from the Service to third parties for commercial gain without our prior written permission. Sharing a specific deal with a friend is fine; reselling our entire feed is not.
- Attempt to access another user's data, reverse-engineer our anti-abuse mechanisms, or use the Service to harass other users.
- Use the Service to track illegal goods, infringe trademark rights, or facilitate any activity that the operator reasonably considers harmful.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who breach this section. Where possible we will warn first; for serious breaches we may act without warning.
4. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We specifically disclaim:
- Price accuracy — shop scraping is brittle; shops change markup, currencies, and inventory. We do our best but cannot guarantee that the price we show you is correct, current, or will be honored by the shop at checkout.
- Alert delivery — Telegram outages, scraper failures, rate limits, and bugs may cause missed or delayed alerts. Acting on an alert is your decision; missing one is not actionable against us.
- Shop policies — the products you click through to are sold by the shops, not by us. Their return policies, warranties, shipping terms, and prices govern. We are not party to your purchase.
- Service availability — we may take the Service offline for maintenance, deploys, or capacity reasons without prior notice. We aim for high availability but make no uptime promise.
5. Affiliate links
We may earn an affiliate commission when you click links in the Service and complete a purchase on the destination shop. This commission is paid by the shop, not by you. The price you pay is not affected by our commission. We disclose affiliate relationships at /affiliate-disclosure.
6. Intellectual property
The Service's source code, design, and branding are owned by the Operator. The product data displayed in the Service is observed from publicly accessible shop pages; trademarks and product imagery shown belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, the Operator's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to €100 (one hundred euros) or the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost savings, lost deals, or missed alerts.
Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or for personal injury, where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your watchlist (via /untrack + /unwatch) and pressing "Forget my data" in settings, or by blocking the bot in Telegram. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach Section 3 or if continued service is impractical (e.g., extreme abuse cost). We will give reasonable notice where feasible.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or applicable law. Material changes (anything affecting your rights or obligations) will be announced via the bot. Continued use of the Service after the change date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith correspondence will be submitted to the competent courts of The Hague, Netherlands. Consumers retain the right to bring suit in their country of habitual residence where mandatory consumer-protection law so provides.
